Blessed are those who mourn: for they shall be comforted.
I am thankful that Brad and Brittany had an opportunity to spend time and form a friendship with Gary. He was a warm, thoughtful cousin and they loved him very much.
My heart aches for everyone who loved him. Your family is in my thoughts.
Gary will always be with us in our hearts and minds. We have very fond memories of the times he spent with us. From the two weeks at Christmas in 2006, to the spring of 2008, when he again visited our home, Gary was a kind, considerate person, with big dreams. We did our best to encourage him, lend him support, and be there for him. We will miss him!
First of all let me begin with I am so sorry for your loss. I am so blessed that I got the chance to be his friend throughout high-school and beyond. He was such a charismatic and caring friend. I will never forget him. I can't imagine the pain you're suffering, but this will heal with time. It may forever leave a scar in your heart but it will heal.
For Gary: Unfortunately, I didn't get to attend your service because I live in Richmond and can't drive but I will say goodbye to you in my own way. Next time I visit my family in Harlan, I will try and stop by your grave. I'll never forget you, Gary.
May God hold the broken pieces of your hearts together until time helps them heal a bit.
